pervasive interest in the human psyche and in exploring states of consciousness, with a focus on
accelerated learning, emotional and physical healing, and spiritual development. Over the years, she
has mentored and assisted individuals with emotional and behavior modification and goal setting
using various Twelve-Step, metaphysical and natural healing techniques. In the 1980’s she created
and facilitated the Creating Self-Esteem workshop and in 2001 The Dream of Becoming workshops,
which focused on goal setting through identifying and eliminating negative behavior and building
positive patterns. She has explored various meditation techniques and methods for enhancing
mental performance, such as sound and light machines, sensory deprivation tanks, and
neurolinguistic and subliminal programming.
A vegetarian and natural health advocate, Nadine has been engaged in personal study of nutrition
and alternative medicine for years, particularly the healing properties of medicinal herbs and
vitamins. In November 2000, the story of her success in working with herbal remedies was featured
on the Discovery Health Channel program, Alternatives to Healing.
AUTHOR, ARTIST AND ENTREPRENAUR As co-author, designer and illustrator of Alien Experiences,
Nadine enjoyed the opportunity to again bring together two of her favorite interests - writing and
design. Her first major creative and entrepreneurial endeavor was as the founder of Hug Bandit &
Company in 2001 when she undertook the multi-task adventure of writing and illustrating the
inspirational storybook, The Dream of Becoming. To accompany the book, she designed and
manufactured a line of items that included greeting cards, bookmarks, dolls, novelties, and
